Councillor Iain Lindley
Iain Lindley has been a Conservative Councillor for Walkden South ward since 2004 - he was re-elected in May 2007 for a further four year term. He grew up locally, attending James Brindley Primary School, Walkden High School and Eccles College before studying politics at the University of York, graduating in 2004.
Iain is a director of New Prospect Housing Limited and Chair of Governors at Mesne Lea Primary School. In addition to his community responsibilities, he sits on the Budget and Children’s Services Scrutiny Committees. Iain is Salford’s Opposition Spokesman on Environmental Services.

Councillor Nicky Turner
Nicky Turner was elected as a Conservative Councillor for Walkden South Ward on 1st May 2008. Her husband Les is also a member of the Action Team and a Conservative Councillor for Walkden South. She lives locally and is now retired having run her own small business.

Councillor Les Turner
Les Turner was elected to serve as the Conservative Councillor for Walkden South in May 2006, replacing David Lewis who stood down after two years serving local residents in Walkden with distinction. He lives locally and is a semi-retired small businessman.
Les sits on the Customer & Support Services and Community, Health & Social Care Scrutiny Committees. He is a Governor at Mesne Lea Primary School and Salford’s Opposition Spokesman on Adult Social Services.
